The Promotional Services Center for Businesses was established in 1987 as a special agency of the Cagliari Chamber of Commerce.
Its objective is to promote and support the development of businesses in Southern Sardinia across all economic sectors, through a strategy of penetration into and integration with national and international markets.
The areas of intervention are promotion, economic information, innovation, and training. Alongside these is the activity of internationalization, which shares the same methods and objectives as the aforementioned areas while simultaneously providing businesses with the consulting and guidance needed to develop foreign markets.
The Service Centre is expanding its activities by designing initiatives within the framework of European, national, and regional calls for proposals, following a careful assessment of the potential benefits for businesses and growth opportunities for the local economy.
As of August 1, 2016, the Special Agency acquired the business division of the Sardinia International Trade Fair; consequently, since that date, its remit has included organizing trade fair events covering all sectors of production, with a particular focus on highlighting and promoting entrepreneurial initiatives within the island’s economy.
It also manages the Congress Centre, which comprises halls equipped for hosting conferences.
